Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

RepsFinder collects minimal data necessary to provide and improve our service. When you use RepsFinder, we may collect the following types of information:

1.1 Account Information

When you create a RepsFinder account via Google Sign-In, we collect your email address and basic profile information provided by Google. This is used solely for authentication and account management.

1.2 Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage data including: which features you use, search queries, agent comparisons performed, and general app interaction patterns. This data is aggregated and used to improve the app experience.

1.3 Device Information

We collect basic device information such as device model, OS version, app version, and language settings. This helps us debug issues and ensure compatibility.

1.4 AI Chat Data

Messages sent to our AI assistant (powered by Groq AI) are processed to generate responses. Chat data is not stored long-term and is not used for training AI models.

2. How We Use Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide and improve the RepsFinder service:

  • Authentication: Google Sign-In data is used to create and manage your account.
  • Service Delivery: Usage data helps us deliver features like AI chat, price comparisons, and alerts.
  • Improvements: Anonymous analytics guide feature development and bug fixes.
  • Billing: Google Play handles all payment processing. We do not store payment information.

3. Local Storage

RepsFinder stores preferences and favorites locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences and local database storage. This includes:

  • Favorited products
  • App preferences and settings
  • Recent searches
  • Price alert configurations

This local data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to sync or back it up. You can clear this data at any time through the app settings or by clearing the app's storage in Android system settings.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

RepsFinder integrates with third-party services to deliver core functionality. Here is exactly what each service accesses:

4.1 Supabase

We use Supabase as our backend database. Account identifiers, favorites, and alert configurations may be stored on Supabase servers. Supabase is GDPR compliant and data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.

4.2 Groq AI

Our AI chat feature is powered by Groq. Chat messages are transmitted to Groq's API for processing. Groq does not use customer data for model training. Messages are processed in real-time and discarded after response generation.

4.3 Google Play Billing

Subscription management and payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your credit card information. Google Play's privacy policy applies to payment data.

4.4 No Ad Networks

RepsFinder does not use any third-party advertising SDKs. We do not serve ads and do not share data with ad networks or data brokers.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Supabase data is encrypted at rest using AES-256
  • API access is restricted with Row Level Security (RLS) policies
  • Authentication tokens are stored securely using Android Keystore
  • Regular security audits of our infrastructure

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold.
  • Right to Rectification: Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we process your data.
  • Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@repsfinder.com. We will respond within 30 days as required by law. RepsFinder is operated from Spain and complies with EU data protection regulations.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your RepsFinder account at any time. To do so:

  • In-App: Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm.
  • By Email: Send a request to privacy@repsfinder.com from the email associated with your account.

Upon account deletion, all your personal data (account information, favorites, alerts, preferences) is permanently erased from our servers within 30 days. Anonymous usage data may be retained in aggregate form for analytics purposes.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Know: Request information about what personal data we collect, use, and share.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal data, so this right is inherently respected.
  • Non-Discrimination: Exercising your CCPA rights will not affect your access to RepsFinder.
